Toys collected at USF-Miami game
Toys for Tots collected 50 items outside the USF-Miami football game at Raymond James Stadium on Saturday.
The organization received cash donations as well, said Staff Sgt. Sadi Workman, coordinator for Toys for Tots, but the money hasn’t been counted.
This was the first year the organization collected donations at a USF football game, but they want to do it annually, Workman said.
Toys for Tots collects up to $10,000 in cash along with other items and donations at a Tampa Bay Buccaneers game once a year, she said.
“We fill two trucks 18 times,” Workman said.
Individuals can bring donated items to drop-off locations at area businesses, including Burger King, Publix and NAPA Auto Parts, Workman said.
