Thus far, USF's largest home crowd of 2017 was 27,619 when the Bulls faced Illinois on Friday, Sept. 15. THE ORACLE/CHAVELI GUZMAN

Despite being the highest ranked team in the AAC, USF’s attendance numbers have been among the conferences worst.

To combat the issue, USF announced Tuesday that it will offer a series of $15 tickets to different groups – such as alumni, first responders and city workers – for its final three home games.

The trio of deals starts with the homecoming game vs. Cincinnati on Oct. 14. All USF alumni can purchase discounted tickets to the game by visiting the following link https://groupmatics.events/event/USFAlumni.

The deadline to purchase tickets is this Saturday at 11:59 p.m. When checking out to buy the tickets, alumni are asked to answer what year they graduated from USF. After entering the year graduated, no further personal information is required.

After fees, two discounted tickets cost roughly $35. Seats for the homecoming game against Cincinnati are available in section 126, which is located in the corner of the south end zone that connects with the away sideline.

After Cincinnati, the Bulls' next home game is against Houston on Oct. 28. No kickoff time has been announced, but all Bay area city/county employees, first responders and military personnel can sign up for $15 tickets.

The link for first responders to purchase tickets is https://groupmatics.events/s/other/FirstRespondersDay, for city/county workers the link is https://groupmatics.events/s/other/CelebrateTampa and for veterans and current military to purchase discounted tickets the link is https://groupmatics.events/s/other/USFMilitary.

Lastly, USF will offer discounted tickets to anybody associated with youth football for “Youth Football Appreciation night” against Tulsa on Nov. 16 at 8 p.m. in the Bulls final home game. The link for tickets is https://groupmatics.events/s/other/Baymade.

USF is 3-0 at Raymond James in 2017, but has averaged an announced 28,730 fans per game which ranks seventh in the AAC. The actual average attendance – the number of fans who pass through the turnstiles – is 20,906, according to the Tampa Sports Authority.

"We play in a really nice arena and there's so many positives, and we've just got to continue to talk about it,” coach Charlie Strong said about attendance in his weekly AAC teleconference. “Get our student body behind us, get our administration here at the university behind us and we'll get those seats filled.”
