USF Athletics receives a $3 million grant to create a new basketball training complex.
Competing for basketball recruits with larger schools that have rich athletic traditions was made easier for South Florida on Wednesday, courtesy of a $3 million donation by USF alumni Leslie and Pam Muma. The donation - which was announced by Athletic Director Doug Woolard and USF President Judy Genshaft at a press conference - will go toward the development and construction of a new basketball center. Summertime, and the living may be easier for students
University administrators are trying to find out if there's a way for students to get around an undergraduate requirement and still graduate. Administrators from the provost's office are researching whether a degree from USF would still be valid if it were granted to a student who didn't meet the nine-credit hour summer school requirement. BOG votes to increase campus security funding
The Board of Governors (BOG) agreed Wednesday to send $18 million worth of campus security improvements to today's budget committee meeting. Three subcommittees, formed after the creation of Gov. Charlie Crist's Task Force on University Campus Safety, have been compiling reports and information from the 11 public universities around the state since June 2007. (0) comments
Student Government: SG trades food, games for students' opinions
More than 20 student and University organizations gathered at the Student Government (SG) Forum outside the Phyllis P. Marshall Center on Wednesday to promote their individual causes and support SG. The forum, designed as a tool for student organizations to voice their concerns to SG, has evolved into an event where students have the opportunity to tell SG their problems with USF. (0) comments
