Student Government's Senate approved an extra $10,000 Tuesday for more buses to shuttle students to and from Raymond James stadium during USF's remaining home football games. With voter turnout expected to increase among college-age Americans in the 2008 primary and presidential elections, front-running and fringe candidates alike are chasing students with the media most familiar to them - blogs, Facebook groups, Myspace profiles, Wiki software and even text-messaging - in hopes of scoring votes. Cutting carbon with conservationist cab rides

Getting to and from campus by bike or bus may not be easy, but a new program will make it easier for alternative commuters to get home in a jam. The program - offered through USF's Center for Urban Transportation and Research (CUTR) and sponsored by Bay Area Commuter Services (BACS) - provides students who get to school by bus, bike, foot or carpool at least twice a week with eight free emergency cab rides home from campus.
