A precautionary boil water order will remain in effect on most of the Tampa campus until a bacteriological survey confirms the water safe to drink, according to a notification sent from the USF Physical Plant.
Reports of murky water surfaced across campus Friday morning, and according to a statement from University Communications, the water clarity may have been affected by a sinkhole behind the USF Federal Credit Union. The University is monitoring the situation, the statement said.
The following buildings on campus are exempt from the notice: ALZ, CPH, CMS, FMHI, LRC complex, MDC complex, MDT, MDO, MGX, Y, Z, MHB, MHF, Moffit complex, MRC, NEC, Greek Housing, Religious housing, Pizzo Elementary, Shriners Hospital and USF Research Park.
