University of South Florida football coach Jim Leavitt had his third offer for the vacant defensive coordinator position turned down Sunday, the Tampa Tribune reported.

Colorado secondary coach Greg Brown, who interviewed for the job in Tampa on Friday, will remain in Boulder.

Georgia linebackers coach John Jancek was then offered the position Sunday night, the Tribune reported.

Jancek was defensive coordinator at Central Michigan in 2004 before joining the Bulldogs.

Jancek is the fourth person to be offered the job.

Leavitt also offered the position to Illinois co-defensive coordinator Dan Disch and Nebraska linebackers coach Mike Ekeler, but both turned it down last week.
