Dunkley returns to Bulls’ roster

On the updated football roster for 2013 (see www.usforacle.com for a full list), redshirt junior wide receiver Chris Dunkley appears to have been reinstated on the team by coach Willie Taggart after he was suspended indefinitely by former coach Skip Holtz in September 2012.

Dunkley, who was redshirted in 2010 and transferred from the University of Florida in 2012, was suspended after an arrest on a misdemeanor count of domestic violence.

Dunkley was arrested after the game against Florida State, after he allegedly got into a verbal fight with his girlfriend a week before. According to the arrest report, Dunkley allegedly punched her, grabbed her by the hair, forced her into a closet and then hit her on the back of the thighs with a
computer cord.

This spring, Dunkley resolved his legal issues by completing a pre-trial diversion program for first-time offenders, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

Dunkley, who appeared in four games during his first season as a Bull, caught four passes for 93 yards and a touchdown. He will join a USF receiving corps that has lost experience after the transfers of Sterling Griffin and Terrance Mitchell.
