USF gets commitment from Heath

The USF mens basketball team picked up another key commitment for its 2013 class coach Stan Heaths son.

Josh Heath, point guard for 3A State Champion Tampa Prep, announced his verbal commitment to USF for the 2013-14 season.

The 6-foot-2, 165 pound point guard averaged 12.4 points and 7.1 assists per game as he led the Terrapins to a Class 3A state championship.

Heath joins Drew Davis from Georgia in the teams 2013 freshman class, and made his commitment after his official visit last weekend.

Daniels, Webster honored for performance
Despite a loss, the USF football team has received recognition for a strong performance against the No. 3 Florida State Seminoles.

This continued when two senior leaders received recognition from the Big East conference.

Senior quarterback B.J. Daniels and cornerback Kayvon Webster were named to the Big East honor roll for their respective performances.

Daniels passed for 143 yards and added 72 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, while Webster picked up 12 tackles and two tackles for loss in the teams 30-17 loss to the Seminoles.
