Czar Vodka Bar offers an imperial party experience

Dimmed lights, loud music and crowds of people flowing past each other easily describe a typical night at Czar Vodka Bar in Ybor City. While the night club tends to attract long lines of people waiting to get in for the party, it is well worth the wait.

Czar hosts three special events on separate nights: “Pulp” on Wednesday, “Filthy Richard” on Friday and “POPsickle” on Saturday.

All of these events incorporate large amounts of dancing, drinking and picture taking by Czar’s personal crew of paparazzi. “Pulp” showcases underground dance music, “Filthy Richard” is home to DJ Monk, America’s No. 6 DJ, according to DJ Times magazine and “POPsickle” features ’80s and ’90s “twisted-pop” with plenty of liquor-infused frozen treats.

Leo Gallego, a freshman at USF, enjoys frequenting the Ybor club.

“My favorite part of Czar would be the atmosphere,” Gallego said. “There are three different rooms which provide three different atmospheres.”

This makes it possible for people to rotate between the rooms throughout the night to get a broad taste of nightlife.

“Everyone in Czar is just there to have a good time, whether it be socializing or dancing,” Gallego said. “You (can) go as wild and crazy as you’d like and no one will make judgment of you or your performance.”

The attire worn to Czar is quite diverse. Some people dress up, while others dress down. Do not be surprised to see someone wearing jeans and a tank top next to someone in a black dress and heels.

The doors at Czar open at 10 p.m. and stay open until 3 a.m. If you fill out the guest list at pulptheparty.com and arrive at Czar between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Wednesday night, you get in free.

On Fridays, you can do the same by registering on the guest list at filthyparty.com. But you must add yourself to the guest list before 8 p.m. to waive the cover and get free admission.
