Broken light backs up traffic

A malfunctioning traffic light had drivers backed up at one of USF’s busiest intersections Tuesday.

University Police (UP) had to direct traffic at the intersection of Leroy Collins Boulevard and Alumni Drive – close to USF’s main entrance – shortly after 10 a.m.

UP spokeswoman Lt. Meg Ross said no accidents were reported, and she expected the light to be fixed by the end of the day.

As of 11:30 p.m., the light was working.
