Campus Crime: Student robbed on campus
A USF student was robbed at gunpoint outside the Marshall Student Center on Friday night.
After getting into a vehicle in the Crescent Hill Parking Garage at around 11:30 p.m., the victim was approached by a man with a handgun, according to the police report. The man allegedly stole a piece of jewelry and fled.
There were no injuries or shots fired. After a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office K-9 search, police said they believe that the suspect got off campus quickly. The incident is under investigation.
