Scott Thompson, the director of men’s basketball operations, announced his resignation Thursday.
“After several days of prayer and discussion with my family, I felt that stepping down was best for myself and the team,” Thompson said in a statement.
Thompson arrived with McCullum prior to the start of the 2003-04 season. His responsibilities included team travel, film exchange, equipment inventory, supervision of the team’s managerial staff and academic monitoring.
“We greatly appreciate Scott’s hard work and dedication to the USF men’s basketball program over the course of the past three years,” McCullum said in a statement. “We all wish he and his family the best of luck in their future endeavors.”
