The story: The USF men’s soccer team will try to extend its winning streak to four games on Saturday night with a victory against Big East rival Rutgers.

Wednesday, the Bulls had a dramatic come-from-behind win over the Stetson Hatters in a non-conference match.

USF is the leader of the Red Division with 21 points. St. John’s University is in second place with 17 and the Cincinnati Bearcats are third with 14 points, while Rutgers is tied for fourth place at 10 points with Villanova.

The Bulls have already clinched a spot in the Big East tournament, and was the first team to reach the 20-point mark in the Big East conference this year.

Rutgers is coming off a 5-1 victory against St. Peter’s University – a game in which five different players scored goals for the team.

The Knights will be led by Nick Labrocca, who has five goals and 12 points so far this season, and Adam Sternberger, who has netted four goals and three assists in 2005.

Forward Jordan Seabrook will once again lead the Bulls’ offensive charge. Seabrook has recorded nine goals and 22 points this year.

Coach George Kiefer is exited about the upcoming game against the Knights.

“I can’t wait to get to Rutgers,” Kiefer said. “I think the guys will be ready, and I’m looking forward to that match.”

Keep an eye on: Simon Schoendorf. The sophomore has received three awards for his performance during the week that ended Sunday: SoccerFLA.com Player of the Week, added to Soccer America Team of the Week and Big East Offensive Player of the Week. Schoendorf netted the game winners against the DePaul Blue Demons and St. John’s University.
